Shaykh Ibrahim Hussain

Imam & Chief Projects Officer, (CPO)

Shaykh Ibrahim memorized the Holy Qur’an at the age of 15. At the age of 21, he completed Dars e Nizami, (Masters Equivalent in Arabic Studies & Islamic Theology), at Jamiatul Ilm wal Huda at his hometown in Blackburn, Lancashire in the United Kingdom. There, he studied under some of the leading Islamic Scholars of Europe such as, Mufti Abdus Samad, Mufti Inyatullah, Mufti Ikramul Haq, and he excelled in the sciences of Tajweed with Shaykh Zubair Fallahi and was granted permission to confer ijaza in the riwayah of Hafs, and thus has developed many young Qari’s globally over the years.

He has obtained ijazaat from the leading Hadith Scholars of Morocco, such as Shaykh Abdullah al-Talidi (RA), Shaykh al-Baqqali (RA) & Shaykh Abdurrahman al-Kittani. He later graduated in Leadership Development from The Saïd Business School at The University of Oxford. He has acquired extensive certification and expertise in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

He is the founder of Sulha Solutions, Quran Club Toronto, Faculty member at CECM, and is the first Imam & Faith Leader across the world to be awarded the MCIArb designation from The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the world’s leading qualifications and professional body for dispute avoidance, management and resolution. 

Shaykh Suleiman Yaqub

Imam & Chief Fundraising Officer, (CFO)

Shaykh Suleiman holds a Masters in Sharīʿah from the renowned Al-Azhar University with intermediate specializations in al-Fiqh al-Muqāran, Usūl al-Fiqh, Tafsīr, the Seven Qira’at, Ḥadīth Sciences and Modern Fiqh Issues and Rulings. Shaykh Suleiman has also studied at Damascus University (Syria), the Institute of Islamic Studies and Training of Islamic Preachers (Egypt), Sana’a Institute (Yemen), and the Higher Institute for Qur’anic and Sharīʿah Sciences (Egypt). 

Alongside his academic studies, Shaykh Suleiman has studied the traditional Islamic sciences at the hands of senior scholars and specialists from across the Muslim world, including Shaykh Muhammad Isma’eel Al-Amrani, Shaykh (Dr) Abdul Kareem Sayyid Ahmad Sulaiman, Shaykh (Dr) Abdul Azeem Ibn Badawi, Shaykh Fauzi Abdul Khaliq, Shaykh (Dr) Ali Gomaa, Shaykh Subhi, Shaykh (Dr) Sabree Abdur Ra-oof, Shaykh (Dr) Mustafa Rif’at, and others. 

Shaykh is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and the Project Director of the Proposed Islamic Credit Union in Ontario, and has more than 25 years of accounting and finance experience. He has worked as an auditor for over 15 years for the Government of Canada & Ontario. and has worked for over a decade at different chartered accounting firms in a supervisory role.
